Ancuta has been an ambassador for Hospices of Hope (the leading palliative care charity in South Eastern Europe) since 2008. Ancuta and her husband Quintin Doyle have been members of the volunteer team at the Charity's Brasov Holiday Club in their hospice Casa Sperantei during the summers of 2012/13/14/15. This has given them the opportunity to meet the children with life limiting illnesses, their families and the fantastic medical staff and witness the importance of continued funding for the charity.
Ancuta's fundraising efforts for the charity have included performances in The Purcell Room in London’s Southbank, The Globe Theatre, Greyfriars Kirk and across Romania. Thanks to the kindness of Tim Paxton, his New Edinburgh Orchestra agreed to perform in Glasgow in 2012 for the first time, with Ancuta as soloist in Shostakovich's Second Piano Concerto. In June 2014 she joined the NEO again with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 in C minor. The funds from these concerts and other events have helped raise over £32.178 for the charity.
Thank you to all our friends and supporters who have helped us over the years....
